Wind Energy Association Created in Banner County

Landowners in Banner County have created a wind energy association and it's getting the attention of state politicians.
In response to interest shown by wind energy companies Banner County landowners have formed the Banner County wind energy association.
The group helps landowners communicate with wind energy companies to develop the cooperation agreements needed for wind projects.
The group has been meeting regularly but they are asking Banner landowners to attend their july eighth meeting where state senator Ken Schilz will discuss wind energy development in the state.
Board member, Kelly Sandberg, says the association has helped him learn more about wind energy and he hopes it will help Banner County.
Banner County currently has a cooperation agreement with a wind energy company stating that measurement towers can be placed in the county for a year to determine if Banner County is an ideal place for a wind farm.
