TECUMSEH, Neb. (AP) - A Tecumseh man accused of using a machete to threaten a woman is due to appear in court.

Authorities say bail will be set Wednesday in Johnson County Court for 34-year-old Adam Cardoza.

According to an affidavit and Johnson County Attorney Julie Hogancamp, Cardoza was arrested Aug. 6 on suspicion of making terroristic threats, third-degree assault and using a weapon to commit a felony.

Police were called to Cardoza's home after a woman alleged he yelled at her and came at her with the machete after she tried to pay money she owed him. Hogancamp described the woman as a neighbor.
