PIERCE, Neb. (AP) - One person is dead and four others are hospitalized following a crash involving a horse trailer in north-central Nebraska.

The State Patrol says 16-year-old Isaac Stamp of Pierce failed to stop at an intersection south of Pierce and collided with a pickup hauling a horse trailer. He was killed in the Friday evening crash.

Authorities say there were two 13-year-old in Stamp's car. Kendra Ronnfeldt was flown to a Sioux City, Iowa, hospital in critical condition. Emily Willard was taken to a Norfolk hospital in serious condition.

The driver of the pickup, 31-year-old Jason Schnoor of Madison, and a passenger were hospitalized with serious injuries. Another passenger in Schnoor's truck was released after treatment.

Three horses in the trailer had minor injuries.
