The village of Potter is celebrating "Life on the Lincoln Highway" this weekend with their annual Potter Days event.
This weekends festivities began yesterday with children's events and a melodrama performance at Legion Hall.
This morning hundreds of people lined the street for their annual parade.
The Potter-Dix marching band was a fan favorite, and there were plenty of creative floats honoring this years theme- "Life on the Lincoln Highway."
A free barbecue, duck race and many other fun activies will keep potter residents busy all weekend.
Potter days committee member Milt Ehley, says the celebration is very important for the village.
"This is our annual event. This is the 78th annual Potter Days. It's probably the biggest event that the community has of the year. It just brings people from all around the county and all around the area to have a good time."
Charolette Steffens grew up in Potter, but now lives in Sidney, but says Potter Days is a great excuse to come back home.
"Well i guess everybody is friendly and all the alumni come back and it's really great."
There will be a four person golf scramble on Sunday at the Prairie Pines golf course in Potter, and there are still spots open if you would like to participate.
