FALLS CITY, Neb. (AP) - A 19-year-old Falls City man accused of breaking into a police chief's home will be sentenced next month after pleading guilty to an attempted burglary charge.

Kyle Martin entered his plea in Richardson County District Court this week.

Authorities said Martin and 20-year-old Jeffeory Murray broke into Falls City Police Chief John Caverzagie's home on June 9 and stole a laptop computer and a police scanner.

Martin's sentencing is set for Oct. 27.

Murray is scheduled for arraignment on Sept. 22.
