Alliance opens new dog park

Man's best friend now has a park dedicated to them in Alliance.
The Alliance Dog Owners group has opened the first and only dog park in Alliance.
After all their hard work, dogs are finally enjoying the fenced in park and putting it to good use.
The dog park not only offers the furry friends a great place to run around and play but it also offers an agility course.
Alliance Dog Owners group member Jay Weisgerber says the city and its residents have really stepped in and donated whatever they could to help the project.
Home Depot, Alliance Tractor and Implement, Rock Express and Pizza Hut in Alliance have all helped put together the park.
The new dog park is located on Box Butte Avenue and 14th Street.
The grand opening of the park will take place on Saturday from 1-5 P.M.
The Rapid City Kennel Club will be on hand with some activities.
