PRIMROSE, Neb. (AP) - A Columbus woman who crashed her motorcycle off a two-lane rural highway in north-central Nebraska died later at a hospital.

Boone County Sheriff Dave Spiegel (SPEE-gul) said today that 49-year-old Sandra Sliva crashed around 1:30 Saturday afternoon about a half-mile north of Primrose on state Highway 52.

Spiegel said Sliva lost control of her Harley-Davidson after it left the pavement. He says there is no shoulder along that stretch of highway.

Sliva was taken to Boone County Health Center in Albion, where she was pronounced dead.

The sheriff says Sliva was wearing a helmet.
