WOOD RIVER, Neb. (AP) - Central Nebraska authorities have identified a 74-year-old Grand Island man fatally injured when two pickups collided at a rural Hall County intersection.
The sheriff's office says Gerald Leitschuck's truck collided with one driven by 17-year-old Samuel Woitaszewski of Wood River on Monday morning. The crash happened about a mile west of the former Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant.
Authorities say Leitschuck was not wearing a seat belt. He died after being rushed to a hospital.
Woitaszewski and a 14-year-old passenger in his truck were wearing seat belts and suffered only minor injuries.
