Corn maze seasonal hit in Lingle

Hundreds of people are getting lost in Lingle...

Ellis Harvest Homes has opened their farm again this year for an eleven acre corn maze, and people young and old are enjoying the fall fun.

This years design is etched out as the Lingle/ Fort Laramie Doggers mascot, which took months to design and only five hours to mark and spray.

Now kids have full access to the corn maze, in addition to playing in a corn box, and a smaller hay maze.

Dan Ellis says that it all started 30 years ago with just ten yards of a pumpkin patch, and now it has evolved into something much bigger.

"Well it's a great family activity. We think it's fairly inexpensive. It's a great way to spend an afternoon in the country as a family. It's a great family outing."

For those who are seeking halloween thrills, the corn maze will be open Saturday and Sunday night, and will only have their flashlight to help guide them.

The Ellis Harvest Home is located 2 miles west of Lingle, and then head 1/4 mile south of the train tracks. There are big green signs pointing the way as well.

Admission is $9 for people aged 13 and up, $7 for kids aged 5 to 12, and children under 5 get in free with an adult admission.
