College baseball possibly coming to panhandle town

A meeting in Sidney gets people thinking about the possible presence of college baseball in the panhandle town.
The Cheyenne County Chamber of Commerce was approached by the Mountain Collegiate Baseball League to possibly bring part of the league to Sidney.
The league is looking to expand and they are hoping that someone in Sidney would be interested in owning a team.
Two current team owners visited Sidney and an informational meeting was held for people in the community that are interested in baseball but any plans are still in the very beginning stages.
If any person or organization does decide to purchase a team the players would possibly use the Sidney Legion field for exhibition games and hold camps or clinics for area youth.
