COLUMBUS, Neb. (AP) - A 21-year-old Platte Center man has been fined $500 and ordered to pay $450 in restitution for causing a crash that killed a Norfolk man.

Thomas Jaixen was sentenced Wednesday in Platte County Court for the misdemeanor conviction of motor vehicle homicide.

Columbus police say Jaixen was behind the wheel of a car that hit a motorcycle at a city intersection on May 3, killing 48-year-old Leslie Klug. Klug's wife, who was a passenger on the motorcycle, was seriously injured.
