Charge dropped against Neb. woman accused in death

PAPILLION, Neb. (AP) - A judge has dismissed a motor-vehicle homicide charge facing an Omaha woman accused of driving and crashing a golf cart while drunk, killing a friend.
Kim McIllece's (MICK-uh-leese's) attorney argued that there was insufficient evidence to support the charge, including proof she was driving the cart. On Tuesday, Sarpy County District Judge David Arterburn agreed.
Prosecutors have said McIllece was driving her friend home from a dinner party on Tiburon Golf Course, near Gretna, in May when she crashed. Her friend, 60-year-old Debbie Deines, was killed.
Prosecutors have said McIllece had a blood-alcohol level of more than twice the legal driving limit of 0.08 percent.
McIllece still faces a misdemeanor drunken-driving charge.
