Scottsbluff Wal-mart employees presented checks to eight different organizations this morning as part of the re-grand opening of their store.
The store, which has been in the process of extensive renovation over the past several weeks was shown off to the public at a ceremony this morning.
One thousand dollar checks were presented to CAPstone, The Delta Waterfowl Foundation, the Morrill Community Foundation, the Juvinile Diabeties Foundation, Minatare Public Schools and the Muscular Dystropy Family.
Two thousand dollar checks were given to Geil Elementary and Western Nebraska Community College as well.
Store employees, Scottsbluff Mayor Randy Meininger and members of the Chamber of Commerce also participated in the festivities.
The whole remodel project cost several million dollars to complete.
The Scottsbluff Wal-mart employs more than 500 people in the Panhandle.
