FALLS CITY, Neb. (AP) - A 19-year-old Falls City man has been given up to 16 years in prison for three convictions, including one for burglarizing the police chief's home.

At sentencing Tuesday in Richardson County District Court, Kyle Martin was given 20 to 48 months for a break-in at Salem Grain in Salem; the same sentence for burglarizing Chief John Caverzagie's home and stealing a laptop computer and a police scanner; and 5 to 8 years for an attempted robbery.

The three sentences are to be served consecutively.

Authorities say Martin is awaiting sentencing on two more convictions in Johnson County, including one for a high-speed chase.
