Finding a place to live in Torrington could start to get a little tricky.
City officials say they face a housing shortage as some 350 new prison employees head to the area over the next few months.
The Wyoming Department of Corrections is hiring the employees to run the 720 bed Wyoming Medium Corrections Institution that opens in January of 2010.
Cheryl Yeik, Torrington realtor, says that the city of around 5,500 people is short of rentals and housing is tight.
Yeik also chairs the Hometown Committee that welcomes the new prison employees and their families to Torrington.
