GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (AP) - Hall County authorities have released the name of a 21-year-old driver who was killed in a rollover accident.
Sheriff Jerry Watson says Robby Schumacher of Holdrege was pronounced dead at the scene on Saturday. Schumacher was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his car.
His three passengers were taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island with non-life-threatening injuries. They weren't wearing seat belts either.
The sheriff says Schumacher was driving south on a paved road in the south end of the county when his car crossed the oncoming lane, went into the east ditch and rolled several times.
Accident investigators are checking to see whether Schumacher was speeding and whether he had been drinking alcohol.
