Voters in Grand Island's Northwest Public Schools district have rejected a bond proposal but voters in Superior have approved their district's proposal.

In Superior, the $8 million bond issue approved on Tuesday will help build an elementary school. According to unofficial results from the Nuckolls County election commissioner's office, more than 65 percent of the 740 voters approved the measure.

The Hall County election commissioner's office says more than 81 percent of Northwest Public Schools voters rejected the $6.8 million bond proposal. The money would have been used to build a consolidated middle school.
