Scottsbluff woman arrested for hitting several cars in Gering

A string of hit and runs in Gering this morning lead to the arrest of a Scottsbluff woman.
43–year–old Niala Mette of Scottsbluff was arrested this morning after she hit several cars along 10th Street.
Scotts Bluff County Sheriff's Department says that Mette, rear ended the first car at the intersection of 10th and U Street this morning shortly after 8 o'clock this morning.
Deputies approached Mette's vehicle at the intersecion of 10th Street and O Street but as soon as they arrived, she took off hitting several cars along 10th street.
In total four cars were damaged.
Mette was arrested and book for being under the influence of narcotics and leaving the scene of an accident.
