PAPILLION, Neb. (AP) - A 22-year-old Bellevue man who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting girls he met online has been sentenced to 36 years in prison.
Sarpy County District Judge David Arterburn sentenced Spencer Osler-White on Monday for the sexual assaults of 2 girls younger than 16.
Prosecutors said Osler-White would befriend young women and girls through online social networking sites, invite them to meet in person, then rape them.
Bellevue police said at least 15 women had alleged they were assaulted by Osler-White.
Osler-White apologized in court Monday. But Arterburn said the assaults were awful, and he believes Osler-White is likely to re-offend. So Arterburn ordered the long sentence.
Osler-White won't be eligible for parole for at least 18 years.
