Parade of Lights to get people in the holiday spirit

Parade of Lights to get people in the holiday spirit

One panhandle town is starting their Christmas celebration early.

Kimball's Parade of Lights will kick off the Christmas season in the panhandle town on Saturday.

But the annual parade isn't your typical parade.

All floats and vehicles in the parade must be lit because the event takes place in the dark.

Chamber Director, Rod Horton, hopes Saturday's festivities will get everyone in the Christmas spirit while helping the local economy.

Horton said, "I'm hoping it'll get people in the Christmas spirit and thinking about shopping and hopefully shopping here in Kimball".

The parade begins at 6:00pm Saturday evening followed by events at the Chamber office and The Wheatgrowers Hotel.
