OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Tecumseh is laying claim to the most snow from a powerful storm that pushed through Nebraska.
The National Weather Service says the southeast Nebraska community recorded 13.5 inches of snow in the past 24 hours, as of 7 a.m. Wednesday. About 70 miles north, in Valley, officials reported 12.4 inches. Out west in Chase County, Imperial got less than 4 inches.
Weather forecasters say the frigid conditions may ease some late Wednesday, but it will be days before temperatures are back in the 20s.
Temperatures could drop to 15 below zero overnight across much of the state, but it would feel like more than 30 below, thanks to brisk winds.
