Nebraska town of Broken Bow approves keno

BROKEN BOW, Neb. (AP) - With a voter turnout of 11 percent, keno has been approved in the central Nebraska city of Broken Bow.
Unofficial results from the Custer County election commissioner's office say nearly 300 people voted in the special election Tuesday. Almost 57 percent of them favored the keno proposition.
The City Council says the estimated keno proceeds of $30,000 to $50,000 would be available to help offset expenses at the community swimming pool.
The city of Broken Bow could get up to 19 percent of the annual keno revenue total in town.
