A youth group takes time to warn alcohol purchasers about underaged drinking.
The Project Extra Mile youth group conducted the second phase of their Sticker Shock project last night.
The group, partnered with retail stores in the Scottsbluff Gering area and local law enforcement to promote awareness for people providing alcohol to underaged drinkers.
The group put stickers on multi–packs of alcoholic beverages like beer and wine coolers to tell customers that there is no free ride if you provide to minors.
For the teens that took part in the Sticker Shock, the project is something they do because they feel like they are making a difference.
"I feel like I'm making a difference to help keep the underaged drinkers from drinking and keep them off the roads," said youth group member, Brooke Eckerberg.
Last night, members of the group went to several stores to place stickers.
