ELYRIA, Neb. (AP) - A man who was injured in a central Nebraska crash has died at a Lincoln hospital.

Valley County authorities say 57-year-old Wayne Dulitz of Ord died Tuesday at BryanLGH Medical Center.

Sheriff Casey Hurlburt of Valley County says Dulitz was driving south on state Highway 11 south of Elyria on Sunday night when his sport utility vehicle ran off the roadway on the right.

When Dulitz steered the SUV back onto the road, it slid left off the pavement and struck a tree.

Hurlburt says Dulitz was taken to an Ord hospital, then flown to the Lincoln hospital.

Dulitz was not wearing a seat belt. The sheriff says a sample of Dulitz's blood is being tested for alcohol.
