Schools getting money for technology

Posted: Updated:

A few Western Nebraska schools will receive federal stimulus money to improve technology in their schools.

Twenty Nebraska school districts and educational service units have been awarded millions of stimulus dollars.

The more than three million dollars in grants are supposed to improve student learning through the use of technology in elementary and secondary schools, and to help all students become technologically literate.

Schools across the state are receiving the grants but Minitare, Garden County, and Cody Kilgore are the Western Nebraska towns getting the technology funds.
