The Scottsbluff City Council awarded a bid to begin construction on a long awaited project.
Last night, the council gave approval for Infinity Construction to take over the project and begin groundbreaking on the 14th Avenue expansion project.
The expansion project would connect Western Nebraska Community College, the Harms Technology Center and Aurora Loan Services with the Target shopping center and help alleviate traffic congestion on Highway 26.
The $122,000 project is expected to begin in the spring and will be completed and ready to use during the summer.
