John Clanton began reporting and anchoring at KOTA Territory News in March 2001.
John moved to Scottsbluff from Augusta, Georgia.
He graduated from Albany State University in Albany, Georgia with a bachelor's degree in English/ Journalism. Go Rams!
Growing up, John always had a passion for playing and watching sports and thought it would be a perfect job to eventually report on his favorite topic.
Shortly after graduating, John started his broadcasting career at WJBF in Augusta, GA as an associate producer.
After his first broadcasting job, he moved to Scottsbluff to take the weekend sports and reporter position at KOTA Territory in March of 2001.
In his spare time, John can be found playing sports and cheering on his beloved Philadelphia sports teams, playing his Wii, teaching Sunday school at his church and eating his favorite snacks, extra buttered popcorn and hot hot wings.
John currently serves as Sports Director and Anchor for the 5:30 and 10 pm KOTA Territory newscasts.
