Ryan is the News Director for KDUH-TV. He started at the station in 2008 as a General Assignment Reporter.
Since joining the KDUH, some of the major stories that Ryan has covered include the Chadron State College murder in which Joseph Hotz stabbed his roommate, the discovery of dozens of dead and malnourished horses at 3 Strikes Ranch in rural Morrill County, and a family's fight to find who murdered a Gering toddler.
During his tenure, he has also been the fill-in news anchor, and sports director.
He also hosted the weekly feature "Off the Beaten Path," traveling to some of the coolest, hidden gems in the panhandle. During that time he found one of the Panhandle's oldest antique toy collections up in Dawes County, learned about the Walgren Lake Monster out in Hay Springs, and shot his lowest round of golf on Potter's charming 7-hole golf course.
In his spare time, Ryan enjoys listening to music, traveling to the panhandles bountiful selection of golf courses, cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and reconnecting with the art of getting lost on county roads.
