Miss America's schedule hasn't slowed down much since her reign ended in January.
Miss America 2011, Teresa Scanlan of Gering has not hit the pause button in 2012.
Scanlan says this year is even more busy and crazy than last year.
She has been flying from coast-to-coast making appearances and speaking about agriculture, eating disorders and healthy living.
She has a couple upcoming events scheduled in her hometown.
Scanlan says she hopes she can give back as much as possible. "It's just been very interesting how a lot of the things I was involved in last year have stepped into this year and so lots of groups that I've been working with, causes that I've been supporting have continued. I'm hoping to really just do as much as I can before I start college in august.
This fall Scanlan plans to attend Patrick Henry College in Purceville, Virginia and pursue a degree in Government.
