A Scottsbluff man accused of sexually and physically abusing four children gets his day in court.
Opening arguments began this morning in the trial against 34-year-old registered sex offender Eric Rocha.
Rocha is accused of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl and physically abusing three other children living in Scottsbluff.
Prosecutors say the abuse includes hitting the kids with a belt and punching them.
Jurors also heard testimony today from the girl who says Rocha sexually assaulted her.
The trial will resume tomorrow in district court.
Rocha was found guilty of sexual conduct with a minor in 1995 while living in Arizona.
