Veterans celebrate valentines day with tunes

A local veterans home celebrated Valentine's Day singing songs of love.

Veterans at the Western Nebraska state veterans home held their annual Valentines Day party.

The festivity featured tasty treats, red punch and live music.

Eighty nine year- old Embert Mishler provided the entertainment singing classic love songs for veterans.

Claudette Shapland says she always enjoys Valentines Day.

"Go out for supper and get all dressed up in red, go out for supper with my sweetheart," Shapland said.

Shapland says her favorite Valentines song is 'let me call you sweetheart.'
