The 25-year-old Alliance man charged in the fatal stabbing of two people last weekend will make his first appearance in a Denver area court room.

Lt. Ken Hart with the Alliance Police Department says that Dominick Dubray is currently under the jurisdiction of the Denver county Sheriff's Department. He must be extradited before he can faces the charges in Box Butte County.

Dubray is accused of stabbing to death 22-year-old, Cathy Chavez and 42-year-old Mike Loutzenhiser at a home in Alliance early Saturday morning.

Dubray also received injuries and was taken to Denver Health for treatment. Police Chief John Kiss says Loutzenhiser's 16-year-old son was at the home, but was not involved in the crime.

Chavez and Dubray reportedly lived in the same home and have one child together.
