A sentencing date is scheduled for a Wounded Knee, South Dakota man who got into a drunken brawl at a Sidney motel and later beat up a fellow inmate in jail.
23 - year - old David Waters pleaded no contest to first degree false imprisonment and third degree assault today in Cheyenne County Court.
Court documents show waters assaulted a man at the Fort Sidney Motel in October, and dragged him from the room to the ground level.
After he was jailed, Waters instigated a fight and repeatedly punched a fellow inmate in the face.
Waters will be sentenced April 4th at 10 a.m. He faces up to five years in prison.
