A project to revitalize downtown Scottsbluff reaches its halfway point.
New signs and bright colorful awnings that are sprouted up along Broadway are just a few indications a 350 -thousand - dollar grant available to downtown businesses is making a difference.
So far, revitalization projects at 26 different properties in downtown have been given the green - light ... And 13 of those have already been completed.
With nine months left for people to apply for money Rwanda Pierce with Twin Cities Development says there is a lot more sprucing up that can be done.
"We do have money available," explains Pierce. "We've got awnings that have gone on, we've got signage, windows, doors, concrete work... So a little bit of everything. But you do see most usually obviously the awnings and the signs that have gone up."
Twin Cities Development still has 100 - thousand dollars in grant money devoted to this project. Businesses interested in participating in the downtown revitalization can call Pierce at 308-632-2833.
