A local celebrity wants to share her adventures last year with her Kota Territory fans.
2011 Miss America and Gering native, Teresa Scanlan will host "A Year in the Life of America's Sweetheart" on February 28th at Gering Civic Center.
The event will feature dinner, a performance by Scanlan and her sisters and a powerpoint presentation.
Scanlan's presentation will highlight one event from every month she was Miss America and allow the community an opportunity to relive the past year with her.
In a recent interview Scanlan said, "The thing about last year was and I know this year as well. It's so across the board. You never know what you're going to do the next day and so from the super bowl to going to children's hospitals, working with the military,going over seas all of these different things were all incredible in different ways."
Tickets are still available and can be purchased through the 24th or while supplies last.
