A Scottsbluff woman has been given additional time to file a lawsuit against a prominent city official.
Tamara Villanueva has been given more time to amend a complaint she filed against Scottsbluff Police Chief, Alex Moreno.
Villanueva filed a federal lawsuit against Moreno and the city claiming Moreno harassed her after their relationship ended.
The lawyer for the city wants the lawsuit to be dismissed, arguing that Villanueva did not follow proper procedure when filing the lawsuit and failed to make a valid argument.
Villanueva has until March 7th to file an amended complaint, if not, her suit will be dismissed.
