A unique outreach program is bringing Nebraska communities together with art.
The Sheldon Statewide program kicked off its commemorations exhibit at the West Nebraska Arts Center today.
The program serves Nebraska communities throughout the state by sharing pieces from the Sheldon Museum of art in select towns.
The exhibit features pictures and select artwork from the program's permanent collection in Lincoln.
WNAC Executive Director, Mason Burbach says the program makes it easier for people to see art from around Nebraska.
Burbach says, "I think it's just awesome that students can experience this collection without having to make that drive to Lincoln and for some that's not an option."
The exhibit runs through June 11th.
