Mitchell man in jail charged with officer impersonation

A Mitchell man is behind bars charged with impersonating an officer.

25-year-old Bobby O'Reiley was arrested yesterday after a concerned motorist called the Nebraska State Patrol.

The motorist said O'Reiley was driving on I-80 tailgating, flashing his lights and a badge.

Police say O'Reiley had a security badge, a .22 caliber pistol and two cans of mace with him.

He's being held at Cheyenne County jail.
