The nation-wide event "Hire Our Heroes" is making its way back to Nebraska after a successful turnout in Lincoln back in April.
"Hire Our Heroes" will be hosting an hiring event for veterans in Omaha next week.
Governor Dave Heineman encourages service members to attend the event in Omaha on June 12th who need help finding great Nebraska jobs.
There will be 75 employers at the event, since space is limited.
Heineman says, "more than 1,200 Nebraska Army National Guard soldiers have returned from deployment since May 2011. The success of the Lincoln ""Hire Our Heroes" event shows how powerful this initiative has become."
Director of the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, Cathy Lang says about 15 veterans have been placed in jobs as a result of the Lincoln event and expect many more.
