Sentencing for a former Kimball City Councilman has been pushed back a week.
Scott Haun was scheduled to be sentenced today (Monday) after pleading no contest to attempted first degree sexual assault back in April.
But a continuance was granted, so Haun is now scheduled to be sentenced next Monday.
Haun was accused of sexually assaulting a mentally challenged boy last September, but struck a deal with prosecutors. Under the agreement Haun will be required to register as a sex offender with the Nebraska Sex offender registry.
Haun faces up to 20 years jail time and a fine of up to $25,000.
