Vintage car owners rev up for one of the panhandle's biggest classic car shows this weekend.
The High Plains Auto Club's "Father's Day Classic" kicks off tonight at the Gering Civic Center.
Tonight there is a barbeque and ice cream social for entrants ,followed by a cruise for cash.
Tomorrow morning kicks off with a parade featuring all the classic cars in downtown Gering, followed by the car show itself at Five Rocks Amphitheater.
Jim Spencer says - bringing dads to this event will be a great way to spend Father's Day weekend.
"And when you have 250 cars sitting here and you walk down through these cars and you look at them and you see the money these guys have put into their cars, the interiors and the work on the outside and the paint jobs. It's just- if you're a car person at all- you're going to love it."
