Community members will have the opportunity to watch a legendary mail carrying service ride again!
The 33rd Annual Pony Express re-ride will be passing through Gering at 10:30 AM tomorrow.
Those in attendance will have the opportunity to gather at the Scottsbluff National Monument and watch the exchange of horses.
The modern re-enactment of the historic ride is an annual event and this year the riders are traveling from the West to the East coast.
Park ranger Leslie Gaunt says it's a truly unique event for everyone.
"People want to see it, it's a chance to see them changing the horses, pulling the mochila off the saddle, putting it on the new saddle, jumping on the horse and going on."
Gaunt says community members will also have an opportunity to talk with several of the riders.
