Alliance left in the dark for several hours Wed. night

A faulty fuse leaves the city of Alliance in the dark for several hours.

JD Cox, the city manager, says a burnt fuse caused the electricity to go out in Alliance yesterday evening.

The Western Area Power Administration reported the issue around 8:30 PM.

The city was left without power for three hours while electricity crews worked to fix the fuse.

Power was restored just before midnight.

Cox says huge electrical damage to the city's system could have been caused if the problem was not fixed immediately.
