Firewise workshop tomorrow in Chadron

In light of all the recent wildfires in wooded areas, the Nebraska Forest Service is urging homeowners to attend the Firewise workshop.

The Nebraska section of the workshop will be tomorrow from 1:30 - 5:00 PM at Chadron State Park.

The Firewise workshop is designed to teach forest landowners how to reduce the threat of wildfires and learn what to do if a wildfire does occur on their property.

The workshop is free and includes discussions indoors and field exercises outside.
