United Way of Western Nebraska gets $5,000 from Union Pacific

A local non-profit is getting a big cash boost from a Nebraska based railroad company.

Union Pacific Railroad is dishing out over $1,000,000 dollars to 36 non-profits in Nebraska.

The United Way of Western Nebraska will receive a $5,000 dollar grant from UP.

A UP spokesperson says supporting these organizations helps the continue to play an important role in improving the communities where UP employees live and work.

Regional West Medical Center is also on the list to receive a grant from Union Pacific.
