Extra enforcement in the Panhandle helped keep drivers safe this 4th of July.
Captain Mike Gaudreault with the Nebraska State Patrol says one DUI arrest was made yesterday.
He says extra troopers were brought in from the region to help with holiday efforts.
Drivers can expect to see more troopers on the road until Sunday.
Gaudreault says increased enforcement efforts are part of a grant funded program to reduce fatalities and keep Nebraska roads safe.
The next full-run sobriety check point is scheduled July 13th and 14th during Oregon trail days.
