Hundreds of self-proclaimed chili masters are turning up the heat while trying to out-spice the competition.
Mike Horton with team "Smokey Top" and his winning chili are competing for the 26th year.
At least 50 different teams compete in four categories to see who has the best chili.
Horton says he wasn't intimated by the heat outside ... It just made the competition more fun. "I think it's a lot of fun because where else can you meet people, talk to them. They come up and brag on their chili and I can brag on mine and everybody's happy."
The public gets to sample all the chili and pick the one they like the best.
