In the wake of the 5th Nebraska boating accident this year, boating officials say the number of accidents is average.
Nebraska Game and Parks Commission Boating Law Administrator, Herb Angell says the number of boating accidents have stayed the same over the past couple of years.
The state has averaged 5 boating related fatalities since the 1960's.
Angell says he thinks boater education has made a difference in keeping accident numbers low.
In January Game and Parks added mandatory boater education for all boat operators born after 1985.
