A former Sidney High School assistant football coach avoids a jail time, and is sentenced to three years of probation.
Robert Lewis was charged last November after the Nebraska State Patrol found marijuana and hashish in his car during a traffic stop in Sidney.
Lewis pleaded guilty in May to two drug possession charges. The former coach was facing up to a ten years in jail.
In addition to the probation, Lewis will have to complete 50 hours of community service.
