A fair queen is suing several Scotts Bluff County agencies following a bull attack that happened two years ago.
During the 2010 Scotts Bluff County Fair rodeo, Miss Scotts Bluff County Jessica Littlejohn was struck by a bull that escaped from its pen.
A lawsuit was filed in district court this week seeks restitution for nearly $29,000 in medical expenses.
Court documents says reasonable care was not taken to contain the bull, and that fair contestants were not warned of the dangers of being in the arena.
Littlejohn is also seeking additional damages for physical pain and mental suffering;psychological and emotional trauma;and loss of capacity for enjoyment of life.
Defendants in the lawsuit include Scotts Bluff County, the County Fair, Agriculture Society, Scholarship Fair Board Pageant, and County Fair Board.
